Outdoor
education

Respect begins when you really know something or someone. The WAO crew is obsessed with nature and enjoys sharing their knowledge, expertise and experience. During the hikes, you will hear enthusiastic stories about trees, rivers, birds, mammals and the valleys we cross.

But you also see the impact of climate change and the reallocation of forest, heath and moorland. WAO also regularly invites other experts to join the walk. Think of a nature guide, a wildlife specialist or the local forester. WAO also makes time for practical camp skills.

Setting up a tent, placing a shelter, starting a campfire, ... the WAO masters are happy to share their how-to-secrets. By sharing these skills and knowledge with the growing WAO community, we hope to contribute to the sustainable future of the reserves we visit.
